On this 4-day trip to Dublin, we take part in the annual open-air Messiah performance on Fishamble Street. It was here that the Messiah premiered at O'Neil's Music Hall on April 13, 1742. Under the direction of Proinnsías O'Duinn, the 120-singer Our Lady's Choral Society performs a one-hour programme, in the sun or rain and to the delight of many Dubliners. In the 3 days there is plenty of time for the conquest of Dublin. Enjoy the flair of Grafton Street, the venerable Trinity College, Dublin Castle, museums and galleries and the many atmospheric pubs and cafés in the Tempel Bar and other quarters of the city. The tour guide is Max von Arnim, Chairman of Happy Birthday Handel.

Schedule

Wed. 12.4.2023 After arriving by plane, take a bus to the accommodation. In the evening we explore the nearby typical Irish pubs with live music and Guinness.
Thu 13.4.2023 We start the morning with a walking tour of Dublin, followed by Messiah in the Street! Here we will meet many familiar faces and sing the Messiah together with Proinnsías O'Duinn.
Fri. 14.4.2023 The Dublin Safari continues today. Whether you want to visit the Guinness Brewery, Jameson Distillery, the Book of Kells or the beautiful cafes, it is up to you.
Sat. 15.4.2023 Depending on the flight, you can end your visit to Dublin before heading to the airport. If you want, you can also extend your stay in Dublin.
